Passing through the ARCH,
you’ll find a “festival”
Arch Inc. was founded in 2017
with the vision of becoming a “gate to a new era”
in the animation industry, connecting people, countries, and cultures.
In this era of rapid environmental change where new methodologies and perspectives are constantly demanded, we are led by Nao Hirasawa (CEO/Founder) with an unconventional background: transitioning from DVD video production to legal affairs at an animation studio before becoming a producer, who has also been involved in managing multiple studios, and Tetsushi Suzuki (President and Representative Director), who has experience at both a merchandise manufacturer and an animation studio, handling animation licensing and product planning.
Under their leadership, we have played key roles in numerous “festivals”, including producing the Japan-Saudi Arabia co-production feature film “The Journey” and the feature film “Promare”, as well as supporting the establishment of the animation studio “Yostar Pictures”.
While working as a “gate” at the convergence point and the mastermind behind “festivals”, another role also came into view.
That is ARCH as a vast, vast arch-shaped “bay” that holds the ocean consisting of animation.
A bay where in spring, nutrient-rich snowmelt flows in from all directions.
A bay rich in fish, a bay of abundant catches.
A bay where many ships and people come to resupply and anchor.
A bay where someone born far away meets someone born in yet another place.
A bay where you can visit, gain wonderful companions, and set sail.
A bay where people and cultures are welcomed, embraced, and safe. A vast, vast bay.
Inviting people, interpreting cultures, and involving even more people, the “bay” becomes a greater and greater “festival” venue.
Creating both things and matters.
By creating matters, we transform the awareness and future of things, the industry, the world.
We envision and implement the future of animation.
We hope to create a joyful “festival” with animation, you, and ARCH.
