Jun Kato Arch’s new Technical Advisor

Jun Kato, Member of AIST, is Arch’s new Technical Advisor.
Kato is a researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) who has conducted research and development on numerous tools and environments designed to support creative work. Our company is actively seeking to make extensive use of information technology (IT) to improve animation production workflow.

We look forward to Kato’s appointment significantly advancing Arch’s contributions to the anime industry in Japan and around the world.

Completed the Ph.D. program at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo in 2014. Ph.D. (Information and Computer Science) Specialized in user interface and integrated development environments for creators, he has received numerous awards at international conferences including ACM CHI. After serving as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Research Fellow (DC1) and completing research internships at overseas corporate research laboratories, including Microsoft and Adobe, he became a researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. Since 2018, he also serves as the Technical Advisor at Arch, Inc.
